Cruising the App Store for an iPad timeclock app? You might consider Timeclock by Faretime. Its one of our customers' favorite restaurant apps for tracking employee hours.
Timeclock by Fareclock is a time clock app for the iPad (and iPhone) and it is free to download and use for the first 30 days. This app uses a customizable combination of face recognition and PIN login. Once logged in, an employee can enter their time IN and OUT as the app tracks how many hours worked that shift and overall that day.
After the first 30 days, there is a Basic and Pro plan. The Basic plan, which offers PIN login only, starts at $15/month or $150/year for 25 people on one clock. The Pro plan includes the face recognition and other features like geotagging and hour tracking for specific projects. That pricing starts at $25/month or $250/year for 25 people on one clock.
As your restaurant grows, you can upgrade either plan to add more timeclocks and locations. Both plans include technical support.
Owner/Chef Sam Auen of Tacopocalypse gives the app two thumbs up because "you can use it from multiple locations and it functions well." For example, the app works even without an internet connection.
As far as bells and whistles, Auen says, "The face recognition is a cool feature that I have used in the past, and the Pro version has pretty powerful scheduling options."
But don't just take Sam's word for it. If you're looking for an iPad timeclock, read more about the app on the Timeclock by Fareclock website. Then give it a spin with their 30 day free trial. Happy apping!
