How to Open a Tab

Do you need to open and hold tabs with your point of sale at your bar or restaurant? Change can help you do that with the "Suspend Order" workflow.

Here's how to open, hold, and close a tab:

  1. After items are added to an order, label the order with a note (under Order Options in the left column). Type, for example, the patron's name.
  2. Now select the Orders tab. A drop-down menu will appear with multiple options.
  3. Tap Suspend Order.
  4. To reopen the order, return to the Orders tab and select the order you want to reopen (under the name you typed before).
  5. Checkout like normal to close the tab.
