Recently we caught up with Thomas Murphy, a barista, sales assistant, and web designer at Mother Goose Interiors & Coffee Shop. Why I do what I do:
Working in a family business is so personal and enjoyable, even borings tasks like cleaning the coffee machine are fun. I enjoy the close relationship with customers and being around friendly people.
I approach my craft with:
A big smile on my face and friendly attitude. I love making the funky patterns on the tops of the coffees. It’s the small things that make me happy with what I do.
Change helps me:
Handle lots of customers' orders fluidly and clearly. With Change, I can have on-going order tabs to keep everybody happy, including the customers.
My favorite thing about Change is:
The picture buttons. They make items stand out on the screen, so selling items is more personal. It makes navigating the POS more interesting and less boring.
My team's favorite thing about Change is:
It works for everyone. We have a few people who aren’t quite tech-savvy, but Change is so simple, yet functional, that it makes everything a walk in the park compared to other POS systems.
