Oh, yes we did!
Debut Change, that is. After months of caffeine-fueled debates, trial designs and late nights, we joined 75 of our closest friends and family last Thursday to celebrate Change’s first day on the job.
There was cake. There were toasts. And there was a very promising sense of hope and optimism as we start our newest adventure. Mars Cafe agreed to host and test drive Change during our party, and after a night of uber-easy transactions, they decided to keep a good thing going. A week later, they still haven’t had the urge to dig out their old cash register.
We still have plenty of work to do before Change is ready for its public launch, but this is our first huge step in the right direction. Plus, it's always a blast hanging out with some of our favorite people. Check out our pics from the celebration on Flickr.
Even Juice and The Des Moines Register stopped by to see how things went. Read their take (and browse their photos).
If you can’t tell, we’re excited: Excited about Change’s first day, and excited for where Change is headed. Here’s a big “Thanks!” to Mars Cafe for agreeing to give Change a shot and to everyone who has helped us get this far. Alright, back to building. We can't wait for more successful launches - and, of course, launch parties.
