Not long after launching Change, we realized our company was starting a new chapter. We had finally built and launched our own product, but knew the key to our long-term success wasn't going to come from just good code and design. In order for us to become the company we wanted to be, we all needed to get behind the same "big idea."
For Kevin Dubay and his wife Jennifer, opening a restaurant was always on their to-do list. In 2006, the up-and-coming Des Moines East Village presented the perfect opportunity for The Continental Lounge to settle in. The rustic jazz-filled bar and restaurant has quickly become a local favorite in downtown Des Moines. I sat down with Jennifer to discuss her love of jazz, cocktails and their experience using Change.
As you may have heard, we have a fun little eating contest coming up next week. We have a date (Wednesday, April 16), a place (Tacopocalypse), a dish (The Hot Mess Express), and now FIVE brave competitors ready to take on this challenge. Be sure to come on out and cheer on your favorite amateur eater. You can even RSVP on Facebook and talk some smack.
Things have been going pretty well for the Change crew lately. We surpassed 225,000 transactions, 10,000 downloads, and we're almost ready to release a big new feature. It seems like a mighty fine time to celebrate and what better way to boast these achievements than with a competitive eating challenge.
